Jonathan Farr, Senior Policy Analyst at WaterAid, explores the intrinsic relationship between SDG 6 and SDG 13 and how progress towards a climate resilient future is crucial if we are to make global gains in delivering water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) access. With the frequency and intensity of climate disasters increasing, development gains are threatened by these crises. Much of the SDG agenda depends on the progress that is made within SDG 6 and SDG 13 and business activism within these goals is now more crucial than ever before. The climate adaptation work WaterAid does in partnership with the HSBC Water Programme demonstrates how WASH services can be delivered with considerations for our changing climate.
